What is a commitment in Scrum?
In The Scrum Guide of 2020
are three commitments for Scrum stated:
- Commitment to the Product Goal
- Commitment to the Sprint Goal
- Commitment to the Definition of Done
The Commitment to the Product Goal
can mean to commit to list of items are added and ordered to create the most value to the customer. The Commitment to the Sprint Goal
can mean to commit and work on users stories and tasks within a time box to reach the sprint goal.
The Commitment to the Definition
of Done can mean for the Scrum Team to work on user stories until the user stories fullfill the criterias definined by the Definition of Done for the increment.
