What is a customer in Scrum?

As stated in the Scrum values is "Customer collaboration over contract negotiation" (see Manifesto for Agile Software Development). The customer stands in the focus in Scrum projects. As mentioned in the Principles behind the Agile Manifesto is "Our highest priority is to satisfy the customer through early and continuous delivery of valuable software." and "Welcome changing requirements, even late in development. Agile processes harness change for the customer's competitive advantage.". The overall goal in a scrum project is to create value by every increment for the customer.
